We have a few house rules to ensure everyone enjoys themselves!

We regret that we do not accept single sex groups, or teenagers without parental supervision.
At the owners’ discretion, you may be asked to pay a noise deposit on arrival in cash of £10 per adult (returned in cash provided no complaints are received.)
In order to provide a peaceful night for all, no excessive noise is permitted between 11pm and 8am. Persons making excessive noise at any time will be asked to leave the site, without refund
Anyone causing a noise or disturbance within a group, the whole group will lose their noise deposit, no refunds whatsoever will be made
Please pitch 3 metres from your neighbour.
Open fires are not allowed on the site. Portable BBQs are permitted, but stands must be used. For your own safety, gas bottles and BBQs must not be used in tents or awnings.
No firearms, offensive weapons or fireworks of any kind are allowed on the site.
The destruction of trees, shrubs, or wildlife is strictly forbidden.
There is a strict speed limit of 10mph on site. Only holders of a full driving licence shall drive a vehicle on the site.
Dogs are welcome at Park Foot but must use the designated exercise area, clean up after your dog and do not leave your dog unattended at any time. Dogs must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. We reserve the right to require that the owner remove the pet from the Park if it causes a nuisance or danger to other guests.
No unlawful drugs may be used, or any criminal activities to take place at Park Foot.
Children must be supervised and not cause a nuisance or danger to themselves or others.
No sky lanterns are permitted.
While the company will do their best to satisfy customer requirements, the company at their discretion reserve the right to withdraw any advertised services and to cancel any bookings made for clients, in which event no liability in respect of such cancellations shall fall on the company, save that the company shall refund any monies already paid in respect of bookings so cancelled.
Liability is not accepted by the company for accidents to clients and their guests, or for the loss or damage to personal property.
Please only book and pay for your intended nights stay, as there will be no refunds due to weather conditions or any reason, other than Park Foot cancelling your booking.
Any dissatisfaction must be raised with our team during your stay; any complaints made at a later date cannot be taken further

I've been to this site a few times over the past 15 or so years and just stayed here for a night again last week. It's a nice site but can get very very busy during peak times. If you avoid these times it's very pleasant and have sometimes only had another 3 tents in the same field! It's a nice 10 minute walk into Pooley Bridge.When I was here last week I witnessed a very loud and aggressive man F'ing and blinding at his kids right next to the play park being told to pack up and leave by Park Foot staff/security. I even saw the police turn up and interview people in the tents near to where they had been soon afterwards, presumably for kids safeguarding.Was glad to see action taken so that others could enjoy their trips. We understand that people bring lots of devices camping with them these days, but the vehicle beside us has literally had its engine running for several hours today, as well as yesterday and the smell from the fumes is awful. The Highway Code states this is illegal, but assuming there is nothing that can be done on private property. Not only does it smell, but it’s also noisy. Not ideal! We’ve been coming here for years and this year we’ve literally been smogged out of our lovely camp ground.read more

It was our first camping trip with the kids and we all had such a brilliant time and enjoyed the park, facilities and stunning views. The only downfall that would stop us going again well atleast before summer was that the shower blocks were like ice. It was sooo unbelievably cold it really didn't make you want to go to the toilet or use the shower because as soon as you walked in you could feel the cold cut straight through your clothes. We have been to other camp sites without the kids and never experienced such cold shower blocks before as there all well heated. We would come back again just not in April.read more

Stayed here at beginning of Nov for a week. we booked the cottage but we're upgraded to a lodge due to refurbishment work. The lodge was beautiful inside and had a wonderful view of the lake. The only downside was the club was closed and so was the shop on site. I think people should be made aware of this when booking. The site was empty apart from a few other people staying in lodges etc. The only other problem we had was the jcbs driving up and down all the time but it was out of 'season so I suppose they have to do work sometime. our pup didn't like it though. Just got back from a 3 night break with family. Great location and clean wash/bathroom facilities and plenty on site for children. Only couple of things that let it down slightly for us, site takeaway...just basically frozen food like Young’s fish, not great especially with how much it costs and the member of staff checking tent tickets in the morning was quite rude and abrupt, overall quite minor things and didn’t detract from our break away. Just back from a 5 night visit at park foot. Great value. Great location. Loads to do nearby and easy access to pooley bridge. The takeaway is defiantly worth a visit great pizzas. Toilets were immaculate and clean but were only were one blocks and there should be a bridge over the valley in front of the toilet blocks to give better access from sites on fields opposite toilet block. May e have more individual toilets on the other camp fields. Only other thing there should be camping on grass and parking on gravel. Not the other way round. Amazing caravan site, we were on a pitch with 5 caravans on and it was lovely and quiet. The facilities were all amazing, we did pony trekking, walking, Kayaking and just generally chilled out in the beautiful setting. There was fresh bread made to order in the local shop, lots of fresh food to purchase too. There was 2 parks one for under 8’s the other for older which worked well. There was no need for a car when there as the nearest village was 5-10 mins walk along the lake on a path. We have booked to go back in a few weeks.read more

We stayed two nights Friday and Saturday. Not the first time we have stayed there with our two children. Beautiful place and great facilities. As the weather was very on and off the pitch was extremely boggy where we were but couldn't be helped. The only little complaint I had was on the Saturday I'd promised my girls who are only 2yrs and 4yrs a disco (like last time) so we headed up where it was set up ready but the dj didn't do any show as 'there weren't enough children' when we had counted 20-30 kids. We stayed for 4 nights til Monday gone. Fantastic site! Brilliant for kids! Clean, tidy and great facilities! We have 4 children from 2 to 14 years and each one of them loved it! It does get pretty busy over weekends and can get a little noisy with people going past midnight. We just took it in our stride, we kept ourselves busy through the day and the kids slept soundly. We will definitely be returning! Best site we've visited! One small complaint is how long you have to wait for food. We went for breakfast one morning a little later (10:30) and thought it would be less busy. I saw there was loads of food ready and in heating trays on the counter. However we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes for a few breakfasts. We just left and made our own. The staff seemed miserable as sin too. Just in the food area though, rest of the staff were great.read more

Was worried after reading some reviews before we set off last week but we've just returned from a week in our caravan at Park Foot and we all had a great time. There were a lot of tents in the lower field so can see why people were put off by this and that noise levels were a problem but luckily we didn't experience this. Park Foot is a lovely, clean site very close to the Lake. The shop was well stocked with a vast selection but doesn't have a licence to sell alcohol so would advise to bring your own or you would have to buy from the bar which could work out expensive. The bar and restaurant was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning again.read more

We have just got home after 4 days camping. Our group consisted of 5 adults, 5 children. We were pitched in a perfect spot, next to a running stream, close to pot wash, entertainment/restaurant and not to far away from toilets. We can't fault the camp or facilities. Everything was how it should be and we all had an amazing time. This is a family campsite so as expected you can hear children enjoying their freedom and holiday as much as the adults. I've noticed some people have commented on the noise level. The only thing we heard were children making holiday memories, which was fine by us. There are two children's parks on site as well as tennis courts which we took advantage of. The surrounding areas are just breathtaking, you won't be disappointed. The lake is a short walk away and can be seen from the pitches. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.read more

Its a lovely big site with several fields. Each field has a feature either near shop, bar or walk into pooley bridge. Every field has shower blocks and toilets (showers are 20p so make sure you have plenty). Pooley bridge is a 5 minute walk along ullswater and 3 fab pubs and shops. The site has a club house that sells food and reasonably priced beers but be prepared for lots of children in there. Will come again.read more

After cutting our stay a day short, I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the park foot for a warm welcome and a fabulous experience of the lake and it's surroundings. We all throughly loved our selves and will be returning back there again. All complaints was dealt with ASAP without a fuss. The only problem we had was on Saturday night when the field we were in was a rave field even after the warden came round and asked nicely to keep the noise down and didn't, so I think it would be better if the warden came round the second time just to double check on things but other than that it's a fantastic place to stay. Stayed this weekend and had a lovely time, there was a group of us some couples and us with small children. We opted for the overflow field although another 2 minutes walk from the main facilities we had space for the kids and us to play ball games (all purchased from the shop), the kids could run free in the field but always be in eye sight most importantly we had peace and a cracking view of the lake. What a fantastic site! We have just returned from our first ever camping trip. We stayed at Lake View and it was lovely and quiet with a stunning view of Ullswater. Facilities were modern and kept clean. Bins were emptied regularly and even the walls were wiped down! Regular patrols on the campsite to check everything was in order - good. The Clubhouse has obviously just been refurbished and is a great place. There are phone charging points in the booths by the windows. I highly recommend the pizzas! My husband and I arrived on Monday we actually thought we'd booked somewhere else! Needless to say it was a mistake which we were over the moon with. We had an electric pitch for our tent. Shower block and toilets were clean, the bar had recently been renovated and barstaff were very friendly, and to say the shop catered for everything is an understatement. We were really impressed and will definitely be going back.read more

Well maintained site; large, clean facilities. Lots of room for kids to play and close to some great walks. Easy attitude and very welcoming to families with kids - their "off site by 11" rule was flexible to cater for the kids' assisted pack up (which took considerably longer than it should).Only downside were grumpy guests with no kids having unrealistic expectations of what kids should and shouldn't be doing, despite them being well behaved and adhering to the few site rules. Not really the site's fault and that's life outside of the camp as well!!Definitely returning.read more

Some bad reviews on here so felt a little wary arriving on Friday night but I don't think we could fault the place. Excellent friendly staff, very clean and tidy, really nice food also very reasonable prices. The bar staff don't leave you standing more than a few seconds even with a full club house, excellent service. Great shower rooms always clean. The most well stocked shop I've ever seen on a campsite. As for noise, there was a little bit on our first night but nothing that really bothered us and on the second night we all slept like babies. Would definitely use again if we come over that way � Thank you for a great weekend �read more

Been camping this weekend for the first time ever and loved it! - No complaints whatsoever about the Parkfoot Site, it was lovely! Small shop for anything needed quick in the morning, restaurant onsite by reception, toilets & showers are kept clean (I was terrified they were going to be like porta-loos & was pleasantly surprised & relieved that they weren't!) The staff were all very friendly & helpful too. The breakfast in the restaurant was delicious & the evening meal we had was superb too - everyone really enjoyed their food (including the little 2 year old that came with us who can be extremely fussy sometimes!) She had a great time paddling in the lake right next to the camp site along with the other children (it was her first time camping as well as my own!) We all had a really really good weekend & would definitely come back in future 🙂 xxxread more

When we arrived it was crammed in the tenting area, it was a very busy saturday, a lot of people left on the Sunday, Sunday onwards was lovely could see the park enjoyed our stay, we are here for 6 nights could stop longer.could do with another disposal for waste down near the caravans.read more

We stayed here in May for a couple of nights and was really happy with the site and the friendly staff, You are designated a plot on arrival and the facilities are plentyfull and spottless clean; and I do believe the stone shower blocks are under floor heated?The shop is very usefull and well stocked (camping accesories, local produce etc)The Steam boat to Glenbrittle is only a 30 minute walk so we were able to keep our car on site and go exploring on foot.I have recommended this place and although I do like to travel to differnet areas and see what UK has to offer I can say we shall return here againread more
