Q. Are we allowed BBQ’s or open fires?
A. Open fires are not allowed on the park. Portable BBQs are permitted, but stands must be used. Fire pits; can be used but must be kept 3m from your unit and 6m from neighbours, raised from the ground and not burning the grass, do not burn anything other than hardwood, no paper or cardboard, to be put out at quite times, and please be considerate of neighbours with where wind blows smoke. For your own safety, gas bottles and BBQs must not be used in tents or awnings.


Q. Are any of the electric tent pitches on grass?
A. No – they are all on fine camping gravel, all non electric pitches are on grass.


Q. Can I come camping with a group of friends?
A.  We are a family and couples park only therefore single sex groups are not usually allowed. We do not allow groups of more than 2 families together. Please email us or give us a call if you are unsure.


Q. Are dogs allowed on to the park?
A. Dogs are very welcome at Park Foot but must use the designated exercise area, be cleaned up after and not to be left unattended at any time. Dogs must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. We reserve the right to require that the owner remove the pet from the Park if it causes a nuisance or danger to other guests.


Q. Are dogs allowed in TJ’s Restaurant?
A. Yes, on a lead, and well behaved.


Q. Do you have Wi-Fi?
A. Yes, there is free Wi-Fi in TJ’s Restaurant, Wi-Fi at your pitch available at a cost.


Q. Can I use Park Foot’s lake access if I am not staying on site?
A. Lake access is free while staying at Park Foot. For non residents, we charge £5 per day, per car. If you are launching a boat, we charge £10. Pay for parking here. /Pop up to reception or call 017684 86309.


Q. Is there a swimming pool on site?
A. The nearest indoor swimming pool is Penrith (6 miles away) and in summer the outdoor pool in Askham is open (4 miles away)


Q. What is the difference between an All weather electric pitch, an All weather Premium electric pitch and an All weather Super electric Pitch?
A.

  • Standard electric pitches have 10 amp, are our smallest pitches with water points located between some pitches.
  • Premium pitches have 16 amp, with shared water points.
  • Super electric pitches have 16 amp, they are larger (11m x 5m), each have a grey water drain, drinking water tap and picnic table.

Q. What time is check in?
A.

  • Camping and touring – From 12 Noon.
  • Holiday Houses – From 5 pm
  • Last Check in – 8pm
  • Winter Check-in: latest check in is 5pm. If you are planning on arriving later, please contact us so we can make arrangements.

Q. What time is Check out?
A.

  • Camping and touring – Before 11 am
  • Holiday Houses – Before 10 am

Q. Do you have security on the park?
A. In high season, yes. If there is an issue during your stay, please call our office number on 017684 86309 and select 1, which will be directed to security after office hours.


Q. Is an awning included in the price of an electric pitch?
A. Yes they are


Q. Are Gazebos included in the price of an electric pitch?
A.
Yes they are. However, we do charge for gazebos as an extra for a non electric pitch


Q. What size are electric pitches?
A. When making an online booking, you select your pitch and at the point it gives the pitch size. Book Now


Q. How long of an electric cable do I need if I have an electric pitch booked?
A. 25 metres


Q. Can I bring my commercial van instead of my car?
A. Yes, within reason, we do not allow flatbed tippers.


Q. What dates are we open for camping?
A. Most of the year other than mid / late November – till just after Christmas, reopen for new year and closed again until February half term


Q. What dates are we open for Self – catering?
A. All year round


Q. I have a tent box. What do I book this as?
A. We accept tent box’s, please select Campervan/ Roof tent.
